There has been an unavoidable delay in the publication, owing to the fact that at one of the severe fires in New York, during the past winter, nearly one half of the copy, then in the printer's hands, and partly in type, was entirely destroyed, and the loss has been with difficulty supplied and should any confusion appear in the arrangement, it may be attributed to this.
The author will thankfully receive any corrections which can be made, and any additional information which may be given, intending to preserve and record every thing of the kind for the benefit of posterity, should it ever be needed.
